Ford Focus EV Delaying Launch New Cars By Year 2012
Ford is delaying the full release of its approach to electric vehicles.
Ford’s marketing team posted a message on the forum detailing my Focus Electric plans to cut the planned deployment of 19 markets – including Chicago, Detroit and Seattle – to focus exclusively on the site of New York and California for the first months of 2012 . The message, EV Ford marketing director David Finnegan, reads as follows:
For the first months of production, which will focus on California and New York. Our distributors in these areas will be the first to have their scheduled sales orders and receive the light bulb. We will be launching in our other markets starting in early spring 2012.
The new EV Focus Ford marketing material says: “Focus 2012 electric, spring 2012.”
A program to launch the new has not been announced.
