Ford announced another truck F-150
More important news today to recall, Ford announced that 1.1 million trucks will be called again because of possible corrosion of the straps that hold the fuel tank of vehicles. This can make the fuel tanks to fall, according to Ford, the defect has caused three fires and one injury.
The recall covers F-150, the most popular vehicle sold in America, from model years 1997, 2004, F-250 1997 to 1999, and Lincoln Backwoods from 2002 to 2003.
According to Ford, the flaw affects the “older, high mileage” vehicles with fuel belts “can corrode after the operation for long periods of time in high corrosion areas,” by which the company understands those areas that melting chemicals are used in cold weather, chemicals can cause corrosion.
Earlier this year, Ford recalled a F-150 million a defect in the airbag.
Ford will notify affected customers by mid-September, and repairs will be made at no cost.
