Audi Q3 will be available with two petrol and diesel engines
The Audi Q3 will be available with two petrol engines and diesel, a second TDI will be launched before the end of 2011. They are all four-cylinder engines with a displacement of 2.0 liters, and offer high power and torque from 280 to 380 Nm. All engines combine direct injection, turbocharging, the start-stop system and energy recovery system.
The 2.0 TFSI is available in 170 hp (125 kW) and 211 hp (155 kW). The most powerful variant accelerates in 6.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h and reaches a top speed of 230 km / h. The 2.0 TDI comes in first with 177 hp (130 kW), and a little later with 140 hp (103 kW). Combined with front-wheel drive version with 140 hp (103 kW) consumes less than 5.2 l/100 km.
The TFSI engine and the most powerful TDI is combined only with quattro permanent four wheel drive. The heart of this system is the hydraulic multi-plate clutch, which, if necessary divert forces to the rear axle is ultrafast. Q3 2.0 TDI 140 hp (103 kW) mounted front wheel drive, and like the Q3 2.0 TFSI quattro 170 hp (125 kW), combined with a standard 6-speed manual gearbox.
The TDI of 177 hp (130 kW) of power and TFSI of 211 hp (155 kW) quattro combines the dynamic 7-speed S tronic. The marches of the latter can be changed optionally by paddles on the steering wheel. If the driver has been selected as efficiency in the system Audi drive select, the S tronic opens the clutch on deceleration, allowing the sporty SUV roll freely, thereby reducing fuel consumption.
